Budget 2025 - Zero Tax upto 12 Lakhs
Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman presented Union Budget 2025-26 on Saturday, February 1, and declared that under the new tax system, those earning up to ₹12 lakh would not be obliged to pay taxes. For incomes up to ₹12 lakh ( ₹12.75 lakh for salaried taxpayers with a basic deduction of ₹75,000), the new tax regime gives zero per cent income tax. Changed the new regime tax slab and enhanced tax rebate upto 60,000/-. The detailed tax slab in new regime as per the 2025 budget is given below.
